Figurative Sculpture Triptych: Death - a black glazed ceramic sculpture of a Rubenesque nude woman lying down
Saturday, March 26, 2005 by Benjamin Bader
"Death" was created while working with a nude model in 2005 as part of a small figurative sculpture triptych that also included "Birth" and "Life". This black glazed ceramic carving depicts a Rubenesque girl laying on her back atop blankets with her arm across her stomach. The entire triptych was sold to a private collector shortly after they were completed and photographed.
