While taking a painting class at college, we were asked to do some quick gestural paintings of a nude model that was brought in for the class before rendering a more complete painting of the same figure. The result of my first gesture painting was this piece. Unfortunately, because I painted it on pastel paper instead of canvas or board, the painting was damaged easily and ended up destroyed during a studio move in 2011.
